MORE TREES ON THE BEACH

More trees that have fallen onto the beach from the woods atop the nearby sandy cliffs.  Actually this location is a very good spot for bird watchers due to the fact that sandmartins nest in the nearby cliffs.

Benacre near Southwold, Suffolk, England.

TWICE REFLECTED CHURCH

This image is of a Church Tower which is reflected in office building windows opposite, which in turn is reflected in a small square mirror tile.  Thus the twice reflected reflection.  The Church depicted in this particular photograph is the largest Parish Church in England.

Holy Trinity Church reflected in the windows of King William House, Lowgate, Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire, England.

From no specific project as such, just experimental work, 1996.

TIME

A sepia toned photographic print.  Inspired by the track of the same title from 'Dark Side of the Moon' by the legendary 'Pink Floyd'.  It consists of a couple of mirror tiles and a clock.  Then a series of multiple exposures.  Done by slowing zooming out from the main point of focus (there are three separate exposures). I used my Canon FD 70-210 telephoto lens.

Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire, England, circa 1993-94.

For the Constructed Image module of the 9231 City and Guilds Photography Certificate.  I was awarded a distinction for this body of work that I submitted for this module.

NOTICE BOARD

Hello there,

Thank you all for visiting my blog, for posting comments and joining my blog followers list etc.  It is very much appreciated.

You will have not failed to have noticed that I have had a bit of a change round with regards my new layout and template.  If you have the time please tell me what you think about it.  Do you like it? Should I change back to the original layout?  Your thoughts and constructive comments are most welcome.

I am not too keen on the reactions section.  Interesting, well okay I suppose but funny and cool (no way, but it seems that I cannot do a great deal about these).

Once again it might mean a little pottering about until I get things right.

Yours sincerely

Trevor David Betts

SPLIT TONED CAT

You all know who the cat is, in this photograph.  It is a selectively sepia split-toned image.  Done by painting the bleach toner (the first part) onto the required areas then putting it into the sepia (second part) chemical bath which restores the sepia.

PAINTING THE HULL II

Members of the RNLI Humber Lifeboat crew and workers from Leggott's Ship Yard repaint the boats hull and keel whilst it in dry dock.  It is suspended on a rig.  If at any time it is needed for a call out it will be lowered down the slipway into the water.  This cleaning and repainting is done on a bi-annual basis.
