BIRDSONG
Now I am going to mention something different (from the usual content on this blog). The Original Theatre Company's current touring production of 'Birdsong.'
From the book of the same title by Sebastian Faulks. Whilst touring the country, this year (the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WWI) with this excellent production OTC are also helping to raise funds for Help for Heroes.
I was fortunate enough to watch the play last night at the Hull New Theatre. If you find that this play is playing in a venue close to you, do yourself a big favour and buy yourself a ticket and go and watch it (it will be money well spent). Upcoming locations include: Doncaster, Colchester, Dundee, Leicester, Belfast, Swindon, and Eastbourne. For further venues and dates, and to find out more about this company and their productions log onto their web site at: www.originaltheatre.com and/or www.birdsongthetour.com Or you can email them at: info@originaltheatre.com
A play about World War One, helping to raise funds for today's wounded servicemen and women from recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If you would like to find out more about Help for Heroes and how you can 'do your bit.' Log onto their web site at: www.helpforheroes.org.uk

OLD CHESNUT TREE
This lovely old tree is located in the market town of Beverley, East Yorkshire. I am certain that of all the trees that I have photographed so far this one is perhaps the most ancient one, and no doubt it has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) placed on it.
Beverley, East Yorkshire, England.
