WHITBY PIER

A brooding dark summer sky over this lovely part of the North Yorkshire Coast.

  1. Not many people on the pier that day! It's a lovely shot; I like the way it leads one's eye to the lighthouse. I climbed the tower once - worth it for the view of Whitby harbour and the Abbey from the top.

  2. The sky looks so heavy. It's funny - the pier itself looks so bright in contrast. A typical summery storm day I suppose.
