In this monochrome photographic print, this French Street is named in honour of the British 6th Airborne Division who landed by parachute and glider to take the bridges (including Pegasus Bridge) over the Orne and Caen Canals nearby in the early hours of D-Day. This is in the village of Ranville. There is a British Military Cemetery located here.
